For: CA Nimsoft Monitor
and CA Nimsoft Monitor Snap

If you’re using Nimsoft Monitor or Snap, you’ve probably noticed the icons that appear in the various views and in the tree in the Unified Service Manager (USM) portlet.

The icons give you a visual cue about the listed items. There are two categories of icons in USM, icons that indicate the type of device and alarm icons that indicate the severity of an alarm.

The following icons indicate the type of device:

 = Group container

 = Group

 = Hub

 = Linux

 = Robot

 = Server

 = Solaris

 = Switch

 = Unix

 = Unknown device type

 = Virtual server

 = VMware

 = Wndows

The following icons indicate the highest severity alarm for a device:

 = Critical

 = Major

 = Minor

 = Warning

 = Informational

 = Clear

For more information about using the USM interface, see the help topic Navigating in USM.
