Scheduling Reports

For CA Nimsoft Monitor Snap

Snap lets you schedule reports to be emailed automatically. Here’s how:

  1. In UMP, hover over Reports and select Report Scheduler.
  2. If a connection to your SMTP mail server wasn’t set up during the Snap installation, click on the envelope icon in the upper right-hand corner of Report Scheduler.     smtp_server_envelope
  3. Fill in your SMTP server info, and click OK when you’re finished. Note: Exchange is not currently supported, but you can use another email service, such as Gmail.
  4. To create a report, click the plus icon ( Create New Job Icon) in the upper left-hand side of the portlet.
  5. In the Job Info section, provide a name for the report and check the Enabled option to allow the job to run. If desired, assign the job to an account. Click the folder icon (folder_icon) to browse to the report you wish to schedule.
  6. In the Schedule section, select an option under Scheduling. The Run this job options update dynamically, allowing you to select appropriate options.
  7. In the Delivery section, select Email using this template. Provide the email address of the person or persons to receive the report.

When you click OK, the new job is displayed in the list in Report Scheduler.
