Create Your Own Page in UMP

Did you know that if you are a CA Nimsoft Monitor user you can create your own custom pages in the Unified Management Portal (UMP)? UMP comes with a set of default pages, but you can create your own pages, too.

Typically the default pages display a single UMP portlet. When you create a page, you can choose the layout for the page. This determines the number of portlets displayed on the page, and their relative sizes. For example, you can choose to display two portlets side-by-side.

You can also choose which portlets to display on the page, including portlets that are not displayed in the default UMP pages. The full list of UMP portlets is available by going to Add > Portlets from the menu bar.

You can make your custom pages private, seen only by you, or public, seen by anyone on the Internet. When you first log in, your private pages are displayed. Public pages are accessed by choosing Go to > My Public Pages from the menu bar.

To create a custom page, do these high level steps:

1. Add a page.
2. Select a layout.
3. Add portlets.
